Spicy Potato Fry
Spicy potato fry is a quick, flavour-packed dish with golden, crispy potatoes tossed in aromatic spices. Perfect as a side or snack, this recipe adds a bold kick to any meal and is simple to prepare.
Ingredients
- 50 ml neutral cooking oil generic cooking oil
- 500 g potato Boiled
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 5 cloves garlic Finely Chopped
- 1 tsp green chili paste
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp chili flakes
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp fenugreek dried
- 1 tsp kashmiri chili powder
- 2 tbsp water
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp Sriracha sauce
- 1 handful Coriander
Instructions
- Heat Oil in a pan over medium heat until it becomes hot.
- Once the oil is hot, add the cumin seeds, garlic (finely chopped), and green chilli paste. Sauté the mixture for 1-2 minutes, allowing the garlic to release its fragrance and the spices to infuse the oil.
- Add the boiled potatoes to the pan and stir well. Cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes turn golden and crispy on the outside.
- Next, add all the spices and cook the mixture for 2-3 minutes, allowing the spices to blend and coat the potatoes evenly.
- Add 2 tablespoons of water to the pan to prevent the spices from burning. Stir well to combine and let it simmer for another minute.
- Add the ketchup and sriracha sauce to the mixture. Mix everything thoroughly, ensuring the potatoes are coated with the sauce and spices.
- Finally, garnish with fresh coriander leaves, give it a final stir, and your dish is ready to serve. Enjoy!
