- 1 cup granulated sugar
Raspberry Limeade
- 1 cup simple syrup
- 1 cup raspberry
- 1 ½ cup lime juice
- 5 cups water
- 2 cups tequila see note, silver
- lime for garnish, slices
- raspberries for garnish, frozen
- ice for serving (optional)
Instructions
Simple Syrup
- Add the water and granulated sugar to a medium saucepan. Place the pan over medium heat. Cook and stir until the sugar is dissolved.
- Remove from the heat and allow to cool to room temperature.
Raspberry Limeade
- Pour the simple syrup and raspberries into a blender. Cover and puree until smooth.
- Pour through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove the seeds.
- Add the lime juice, water, and tequila, stir, and refrigerate to chill.
- Pour into glasses and garnish with lime slices and frozen raspberries (or ice instead of frozen fruit.) Serve immediately.
Notes
- This drink is good with or without the tequila. If you want to make it non-alcoholic, add another 2 cups of water or add 2 cups of lemon-lime soda for some fizz.
- You can also serve this limeade N/A in the pitcher, add a shot of tequila to your glass and then pour in the limeade to keep the pitcher family-friendly.
- The simple syrup can be made ahead of time and kept in an air-tight container in the pantry or fridge until you're ready to use it.
