Starbucks Salted Caramel Mocha Recipe (+VIDEO)

This Salted Caramel Mocha is the real deal! It gives you all the delicious flavor of Starbucks’ drink at the fraction of the price. Sweet, creamy, and full of chocolate and coffee flavor, this homemade salted caramel mocha latte is so easy to make with a few simple ingredients.

Ingredients

For the Drink
  • 1 ½ tablespoons Caramel sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 ½ tablespoons chocolate syrup (or hot chocolate mix)
  • 1/2 cup strong coffee
  • 1/2 cup milk
For the Topping
  • Whipped Cream
  • Caramel sauce
  • optional sea salt
  • optional brown sugar (or turbinado sugar)

Instructions

  1. Add caramel sauce, sea salt, and chocolate syrup in a glass mug.
  2. Make coffee and add the hot coffee to the mug. Mix well.
  3. Froth the milk until it is foamy, and slowly pour into the mug. If you don’t have a frother at home, you can pour the milk into a mason jar with a lid. Fill no more than a third of the jar. Place the lid on tightly and shake the jar vigorously for 30-60 seconds until the milk is frothy and double in volume.
  4. Very gently pour the milk into the mug.
  5. Top with whipped cream, and drizzle with caramel sauce.
  6. Sprinkle with the optional sea salt and sugar. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can add more milk if you prefer a creamier flavor.
  • You can customize the sweetness of your drink. Taste and adjust the amount of caramel for the perfect subtle touch.
