Steak Butter
Keep this velvety, herb-infused compound butter on hand for your next steak night.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter softened, unsalted
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 3 1/2 tablespoons parsley finely chopped, fresh
- 1 teaspoon thyme finely chopped, fresh
- 2 teaspoons lemon zest
- salt to taste
- black pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, mash the softened unsalted butter with a fork until smooth.
- Add the minced garlic, chopped fresh parsley, fresh thyme, lemon zest, salt, and pepper to the butter. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Scoop the butter mixture onto a sheet of plastic wrap. Use the wrap to form the butter into a log shape.
- Wrap the butter log tightly and refrigerate for at least 1 hour until firm.
- When ready to use, slice the butter into rounds and place on hot steak just before serving.
