Steak Quesadillas

Ingredients

  • 4 (10-inch) flour tortillas 10-inch
  • 2 cups finely chopped cooked steak
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons salsa
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion optional
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro optional

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat, then melt 1 tablespoon butter in the pan.
  2. Place a tortilla in the pan, over the melted butter. Sprinkle 1/2 cup cheese evenly across the entire tortilla.
  3. On one half of the tortilla, distribute 1/2 cup cooked steak. On the other half, spread 1 tablespoon salsa. Add optional chopped onion or cilantro if desired.
  4. Allow the cheese to melt for about 3-4 minutes, then fold the tortilla in half.
  5. Let the tortilla cook for another minute, then flip it over to brown the other side and ensure the cheese melts thoroughly.
  6. Repeat these steps with the remaining tortillas and ingredients, melting more butter in the pan as needed.
  7. Once cooked, remove the quesadilla from the skillet and cut into wedges.
  8. Serve your quesadillas with guacamole, sour cream, and additional salsa on the side.

Notes

  • Serve with guacamole, sour cream, or salsa.
