- 1 c steel cut oats (such as McCann’s)
- 1 c skim milk
- 1 c water
- 1 tsp vanilla
- ½ tsp sea salt
- ½ tbs cinnamon
- 1 pinch nutmeg
- 1 banana (thinly sliced)
- 1 c blueberries
- ¼ c walnuts (chopped)
- ¼ c flax seed meal
Instructions
- In a medium sauce pot over medium heat, whisk together milk, water, vanilla, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.
- When mixture starts to come to a boil, add steel cut oats and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer 15 minutes.
- About 2 minutes prior to the end of the cooking time, add in banana, blueberries, walnuts and flax. Stir well and serve.
