Strawberry Angel Food Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg strawberry Jell-O 3 ounces
  • 1 1/4 cups boiling water
  • 1 pound frozen sliced strawberries
  • 1 angel food cake diced into 1 inch pieces
  • 16 ounces Cool Whip thawed, divided

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Bring the water to a boil and stir in the jell-O mix.  Move the mixture to a large mixing bowl (allow it to cool) and stir in the frozen sliced strawberries.
  2. Gently stir in the 1/2 of the cool whip and the diced angel food pieces.
  3. Pour the mixture into a 9X13 baking pan.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight).
  5. When serving, top with the remaining Cool whip.
  6. Serve topped with fresh strawberries and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can easily use a store bought or homemade angel food cake for this recipe.  
  • Refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
