Strawberry Champagne
Strawberry Champagne cocktail is easy to make, refreshing and great for brunch or before dinner. Pureed strawberries and sparkling wine are the dream combo!
Ingredients
- 1 cup strawberries fresh or frozen, hulled
- ½ ounce lemon 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed juice
- 1 bottle champagne look for a champagne or similar sparkling wine such as Prosecco, cava, or cremant; be sure it is labeled “brut” which is the driest type, 750 ml, brut, or sparkling wine
- strawberry for garnish, fresh
Instructions
- Place the strawberries and lemon juice in a blender or food processor. Puree until smooth.
- Spoon 1 to 2 tablespoons of the puree into the bottom of a champagne flute and top with champagne. With a long spoon, very gently stir. Garnish with a fresh strawberry slice and sip away!
Notes
- This recipe will yield about 10 tablespoons of puree, which is enough for about 4 to 8 drinks, depending upon the amount of puree you like in your glass. One bottle of champagne is about 4 drinks with each drink being a 6-ounce serving. Feel free to use more or less puree or champagne, depending upon your desired ratio.
- Nutrition has been calculated with 6 ounces of sparkling wine and 1 1/2 tablespoons puree.
- TO STORE: Store the strawberry puree in an airtight storage container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Top with champagne just before serving.
