Strawberry Champagne Margaritas Recipe

Celebrate Cinco De Mayo with Strawberry Champagne Margaritas! This margarita recipe is not much different than your usual margarita recipe, but it is topped off with a healthy dose of Champagne.

Ingredients

  • 8-10 strawberry hulled and sliced - plus more as garnish, medium sized
  • 2 ounces of lime juice freshly squeezed –
  • 2 ounces tequila
  • 2 ounces triple sec
  • lime zest
  • 2 tablespoons kosher salt
  • ice crushed
  • 3-4 ounces champagne or Prosecco
  • 2 leaves mint as garnish, fresh

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Muddle strawberries in a large glass. Add in the lime juice.
  2. Stir in tequila and triple sec.
  3. Mix salt with the zest in a shallow plate. Using a lime wedge wet the edges of your margarita glass. Rim the edges with salt-lime zest mixture.
  4. Add in ¾ cup of crushed ice. Strain the strawberry margarita onto the ice.
  5. Top it off with champagne. Garnish with mint and a whole strawberry.
  6. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • I used Champagne here but you can also use Prosecco or any other sparkling wine you can get your hands on.
  • Don't have strawberries, use any other berries you like. Blackberries or raspberries would also work well here.
