Strawberry Champagne Tequila Fizz

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup chopped strawberries
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 ounces tequila
  • 4 ounces chilled dry or semi-dry champagne
  • Thinly sliced jalapeño for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the chopped strawberries in the bottom of a cocktail shake and add the sugar. Let them sit for 5 minutes. Add the tequila and muddle the heck out of the strawberries until they break down. Add an ice cube and shake the mixture well, then pour it evenly into 2 glasses.
  2. Top each glass off with the champagne. Drop in a jalapeño slice and serve!
