Strawberry Chia Jam

This strawberry chia jam is sweet, fruity, and easy to make with just three simple ingredients. And it's vegan friendly too!

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 cups strawberries fresh, hulled
  • 1 tbsp of liquid sweetener such as stevia, optional

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Mix the chía seeds and water in a small container.
  2. Let the mixture sit for at least an hour, until it thickens into a thick paste.
  3. Pour the chía seed paste, the fresh strawberries and the sweetener (optional) into a blender.
  4. Pulse until smooth.
  5. Now your jam is soft and ready to use.

Notes

  • This chia jam is a great topping for pancakes, waffles, or crepes – along with a dollop of dairy free whipped cream.
  • Keep in the fridge in an airtight container for 3- 5 days.
  • Variations – You can substitute other berries or fruits for the strawberries to make a variety of jam flavors.
