Strawberry Cobbler

Ingredients
Batter
- ½ cup butter unsalted, melted
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1¼ cup milk
Strawberries
- 3-4 cups strawberry hulled and sliced, fresh
- ½ cup granulated sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the butter in a 9x13 inch baking dish and melt it in the oven, should take about 5 to 10 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the milk until well combined.
- In another bowl, combine the sliced strawberries and sugar.
- Pour the batter over the melted butter in the baking dish. Do not stir.
- Spoon the strawberry mixture over the batter. Do not stir.
- Carefully transfer the baking dish to the oven and bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the cobbler is cooked through.
- Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
Notes
- Fresh strawberries: Fresh strawberries will yield the best flavor. However, frozen strawberries can also be used; no need to thaw before adding to the recipe.
- Adjusting sweetness: Depending on the sweetness of your strawberries, you may want to adjust the amount of sugar in the filling.
