Ingredients

  • 6 oz fresh strawberries cleaned and hulled
  • agave or honey to taste

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees. Place the racks in your oven in the center. Cover two baking sheets with parchment paper or silpat mats.
  2. Wash and hull the strawberries before placing them into a blender. Blend until smooth and creamy, then taste and add agave or honey as needed. Blend a little bit more to make sure it is well combined.
  3. Pour some of the strawberry mixture onto the center of the silpat mat. Using a rubber spatula, spread the mixture, adding more when needed, until a thin, even layer is formed. Repeat with the remaining baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 7-8 hours until the fruit is no longer tacky. Remove from the oven and let cool.
  5. Remove the fruit leather carefully from the parchment or silpat mat and place the smooth side down on the parchment paper.
  6. Cut the edges so they are straight, then cut into strips. Roll the strips and tie them with a string. Store in an airtight container. Enjoy.
