Strawberry Lemonade

This homemade Strawberry Lemonade is the ultimate thirst-quencher! Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries hulled and chopped
  • 1 cup lemon juice freshly squeezed, from about 6 to 8 lemons
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups water
  • Ice cubes
For Garnish
  • sliced lemons
  • strawberries
  • fresh mint

Instructions

  1. In a blender or food processor, puree the chopped strawberries until smooth.
  2. In a large pitcher, combine the strawberry puree, freshly squeezed lemon juice, sugar, and water. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Taste the lemonade and adjust the sweetness or tartness as needed by adding more sugar or lemon juice.
  4. Chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or until ready to serve.
  5. When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the strawberry lemonade over the ice. Garnish with sliced lemons and strawberries, if desired.

Notes

  • Adjust sweetness: Depending on how sweet your strawberries are, you may want to adjust the amount of sugar. Start with less, then taste and add more if needed.
  • Fresh is best: For the most flavorful lemonade, use freshly squeezed lemon juice. Bottled juice just doesn't compare!
  • Serve chilled: This lemonade is best served very cold. You can make it ahead of time and chill in the fridge, or serve over plenty of ice.
  • Garnish: For an extra touch, garnish with fresh mint leaves or a slice of lemon. Not only does it look pretty, it adds an extra layer of flavor.
  • Make it fizzy: Want to turn this into a fizzy drink? Replace some of the water with club soda for a bubbly twist!
