Strawberry Lemonade
This homemade Strawberry Lemonade is the ultimate thirst-quencher! Bursting with fresh, sweet strawberries and the zing of tangy lemons, it's the perfect balance of fruity sweetness and refreshing acidity. Ingredients
- 1 cup strawberry hulled and chopped, fresh
- 1 cup lemon juice freshly squeezed, from about 6 to 8 lemons
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 4 cups water
- ice cubes
For Garnish
- lemon sliced
- strawberries
- mint fresh
Instructions
- In a blender or food processor, puree the chopped strawberries until smooth.
- In a large pitcher, combine the strawberry puree, freshly squeezed lemon juice, sugar, and water. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
- Taste the lemonade and adjust the sweetness or tartness as needed by adding more sugar or lemon juice.
- Chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or until ready to serve.
- When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the strawberry lemonade over the ice. Garnish with sliced lemons and strawberries, if desired.
Notes
- Adjust sweetness: Depending on how sweet your strawberries are, you may want to adjust the amount of sugar. Start with less, then taste and add more if needed.
- Fresh is best: For the most flavorful lemonade, use freshly squeezed lemon juice. Bottled juice just doesn't compare!
- Serve chilled: This lemonade is best served very cold. You can make it ahead of time and chill in the fridge, or serve over plenty of ice.
