Ingredients
- salt to rim the glass
- 2 ounces white tequila
- 1 ounce lime juice fresh is best!
- 1 ounce strawberry simple syrup recipe below
- Fresh strawberries and lime slice to garnish
Strawberry Simple Syrup
- 1 cup chopped strawberries
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
Instructions
- Begin by making the strawberry simple syrup. Add the strawberries, sugar, and water to a small pot over medium-high heat. Bring the pot to a boil then reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove the pot from the heat and let it cool. Strain it through a fine-mesh sieve then skim off any foam from the top of the syrup.
- Wet the rim of a glass with a slice of lime and then dip it into salt. Fill the glass with ice.
- Put a handful of ice into a cocktail shaker or jar then add the tequila, lime juice, and strawberry simple syrup.
- Stir until it's cold and then strain it into your prepared glass. Garnish with strawberries and a lime slice.
