Ingredients

Salad
  • 10 oz fresh spinach rinsed, dried and torn to bite sized pieces
  • 1 qt strawberries washed, hulled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds blanched
Dressing
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup distilled vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the sesame seeds, poppy seeds, sugar, olive oil, vinegar, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and onion in a medium bowl. Cover, and refrigerate for one hour.
  2. In a large salad bowl add the spinach, strawberries, and almonds. Add the dressing and toss. Refrigerate for another 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
