Ingredients
- 100 grams white chocolate
- 1/4 cup white chocolate chips about 4 tablespoons
- 1/4 cup mini marshmallows
- 4-6 pieces freeze-dried strawberries crushed
- sprinkles, optional for decorating
Instructions
Melt Chocolate
- Add all the chocolate minus 2 tablespoons to a heatproof bowl
- Melt the chocolate on 50% power for 30 seconds. Stir the chocolate.
- Return to the microwave and melt the chocolate again at 50% for 30 seconds for the milk chocolate and 15 seconds for white chocolate. Stir again. If the chocolate has mostly melted, add the reserved chocolate, to the bowl and stir until all the chocolate has fully melted.
- If the chocolate has not fully melted, return to the microwave for 15 seconds increments at 50% power until melted.
Cup of Yum
Fill the mold
- Wipe the mold clean with a lint-free paper towel, to ensure the mold is fully dry.
- Fill the mold with 2 tablespoons of white chocolate. 100 grams of chocolate perfect for 2 hot chocolate bombs or 4 half spheres.
- Set mold in the fridge. Once the chocolate is set in the fridge for about 10 minutes, remove it from the fridge.
- Next, add more chocolate, and spread the chocolate using a spoon or brush, paying close attention to the edges this time, to ensure that there is an even layer of chocolate.
- Next, return to the fridge again, this time for at least 30 minutes, until the chocolate has fully firmed.
- Once the chocolate is fully solidified, carefully remove the chocolate from the mold.
Assemble Hot Chocolate Bombs
- Next, add freeze-dried strawberries, mini marshmallows, and hot chocolate mix or white chocolate chips to half the chocolate spheres.
- Microwave an empty plate for 30 seconds.
- Then, take the empty half of the hot chocolate sphere and melt the edges slightly using the warm plate to smooth. Then use the partially melted edges to "glue" the two halves of the hot chocolate bomb together.
- Let it rest for about 10 minutes so that chocolate has a chance to cool and harden again.
Decorate Hot Chocolate
- To decorate, drizzle leftover melted chocolate and sprinkle with some strawberry powder.
Notes
