Stuffed Baked Apple Halves + Video
Stuffed Baked Apple Halves feature honeycrisp apples peeled and cored then sliced thinly within each half before baking with a cinnamon-butter glaze. This creates a tender, warmly spiced dessert topped with an oat-based streusel that adds a crisp texture contrast. The combination of sugar, cinnamon, oats, and butter forms a flavorful filling that softens the apples while providing a crumbly topping. Optionally served with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce for added richness.

Notes
- Use firm apples like Honeycrisp, Pink Lady, or Fuji to maintain shape during baking; Granny Smith apples are less suitable.
- Optional toppings such as vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce enhance the dessert but are not necessary.
- Bake the apples in oven-safe glass, ceramic, cast iron, or enameled pans for even cooking.
- Allow apples to cool briefly after baking before adding the streusel topping for better texture.
