Ingredients
- 15 oz jumbo shells
- 1 lb ground beef 85% lean
- 1 large onion diced
- 24 oz spaghetti sauce
- 15 oz ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese
- 3 cups mozzarella cheese
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- 1 large egg
Instructions
- Bring salted water to a boil. Cook the jumbo pasta shells four minutes short of package instructions. Drain the water and set the shells aside.
- Preheat a large skillet and add the ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks. Add in the diced onion and cook until it's translucent.
- Pour the spaghetti sauce into the cooking meat. Stir it together as it simmers for about five minutes. Set it aside.
- In a separate bowl, mix ricotta, parmesan cheese, half a mozzarella cheese, egg, and Italian seasoning. Stir until well combined.
- Spread half of the meat sauce on the bottom of a baking dish (9x13 size). Fill each shell with the cheese mixture and place it in the baking dish.
- Top the shells with the remaining meat sauce and sprinkle on the mozzarella cheese. Cover the dish with foil or a lid.
- Bake at 375°F for 15 minutes. Remove the lid and bake for 10 more minutes or until the cheese is lightly golden in color.
