- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- ¼ cup vinegar
- 1 tbsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 2 tbsps soy sauce
- 2 tbsps minced garlic
Corn Starch Slurry
- 3 tbsps cornstarch
- 3 tbsps water
Instructions
- Start by making a simple syrup by boiling water and sugar. Once the water is clear and the sugar is dissolved, begin adding red pepper flakes, paprika, soy sauce, and vinegar. Mix until well combined, then add garlic.
- Combine cornstarch with cold water to create a slurry, then gradually add it to thicken the sauce. Allow sauce to cool before serving!
