Sweet Potato Pie
Sweet Potato Pie is a classic Southern dessert perfect for Thanksgiving. The filling is made with sweet potato puree, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
Ingredients
- 1 pie crust
- 15 ounces sweet potato about 1 3/4 cups, puree
- 1/2 cup butter softened, unsalted
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large egg
- 1/2 cup milk whole
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a pie plate with your pie crust.
- In a large mixing bowl whisk the sweet potato puree, butter, sugar, eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Pour mixture into the pie crust.
- Bake 50-55 minutes or until set.
- Cool completely before serving.
