Sweet potato soup with chickpeas, tomatoes and turmeric
Delicious warming soup with Medical Medium healing foods: sweet potato, onion, garlic, tomato and turmeric. Very tasteful, with mushroom broth.
Ingredients
- 4 cups sweet potato 4 medium potatoes or 300 grams
- 2 ts mushroom powder with 2 cups of water
- extra virgin olive oil leave out for fat and oil free
- ½ cup red lentils (80 grams)
- or 2 or 2 cups broth MM healing
- 1 large red onion
- 4 cloves garlic
- 3 tomato
- 2 teaspoons coriander seeds freshly ground
- 2 teaspoons Turmeric
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- ½ teaspoons chili flakes
- ¼ teaspoons black pepper freshly ground
- 1 handful cilantro fresh
Instructions
- Chop the onion and fry in a soup pan with a little oil until translucent.Skip this and the flowing steps if you want to make this soup oil and fatfree.
- Crush the garlic and add.
- Wash the tomatoes, cut into large pieces and add.
- Deglaze with the water. Bring to the boil and then let it simmer gently for half an hour with the lid on the pan.If you don't want to use oil, first bring the water to the boil, then add the other ingredients.
- Add the spices and mushroom powder.
- Peel the sweet potatoes. If the skin is thin and nice you can leave them on. Then scrub well and cut away bad spots. Cut into cubes and add.
- Rinse the lentils under the tab. I use a sieve. Add to the soup.
- Let it simmer for 15 minutes.
- Scoop into plates and top with the fresh cilantro, parsley or chives.
