Taco Dip

Taco Dip is a super easy and oh so delicious appetizer that combines refried beans, a cream cheese and sour cream layer and all your favorite taco toppings. Serve with tortilla chips at your next party!

Ingredients

  • 16 oz refried beans
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 8 oz sour cream
  • 1 oz taco seasoning packet (or 4 tbsp of homemade taco seasoning)
  • 6 oz cheddar cheese finely shredded, sharp
  • 1 1/2 cups lettuce finely shredded
  • 1/2 cup tomato fresh, finely diced
  • 2.25 oz black olive sliced
  • 2 green onions diced (about 1/4 cup)

Instructions

  1. Open refried beans can and spread into the bottom of a medium baking dish.
  2. With a hand mixer, in a small bowl beat the cream cheese until smooth. Should only take 1 minute if softened.
  3. Add sour cream and taco seasoning and continue mixing for another minute. Scrape sides of bowl with a rubber spatula and give one more good mix until well combined.
  4. Spread cream cheese mixture into baking dish on top of beans.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheese over cream cheese mixture.
  6. Top with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, black olives and green onions.
  7. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
  8. Serve with corn tortilla chips.
