Ingredients

  • 4 cups small pasta shells
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
  • ¾ cup beef broth low sodium
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1-1½ cup shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large pot of salted water, cook your pasta according to the packet instructions.
  2. Meanwhile, In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until 60-70% browned, making sure to break up the beef into small pieces with a wooden spoon or spatula.
  3. Lower the heat to medium-low. Add the taco seasoning to the skillet along with the beef broth. Stir until combined and cook until most of the water has evaporated.
  4. Drain your pasta and add it to the cooked beef. Add the salsa and shredded cheese.
  5. Stir to combine and serve immediately.
