Tahini Brownies

These tahini brownies are a game-changer. They're rich, nutty, flavorful, fudgy.. everything a brownie should be.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ¾ cup flour
  • ¾ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup Tahini

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F. line an 8x8 baking pan with parchment paper and set aside
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar, brown sugar, flour, cocoa powder, and salt; set aside
  3. In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the oil, eggs, and vanilla extract
  4. Pour the oil mixture into the sugar mixture and mix until fully combined and a thick batter is formed
  5. Transfer the batter to the prepared pan, then dollop tahini on top.
  6. Use a butter knife to swirl the tahini into the batter by dragging gently along the surface.
  7. Bake in preheated oven 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean (or with a few crumbs)
  8. Allow to cool before slicing and serving.
