Tamari Roasted Nuts (Savory!)
Easy-to-make roasted nuts with irresistibly savory flavors! A crowd-pleasing snack for parties, holiday spreads, charcuterie boards, or everyday enjoyment.
Ingredients
- 2 cups nuts raw, unsalted
- 2 Tbsp. tamari
- 2 tsp. rice vinegar unseasoned
- 1 tsp. pure maple syrup
- 2 tsp. sesame seeds
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. onion powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 250°F (130°C). Line a baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a medium bowl, add all ingredients except nuts. Stir to combine.
- Then add nuts and toss well to coat. Spread out nuts in a single, even layer on the lined baking pan. (I drizzle any remaining sauce over the top for full flavor.)
- Roast for 35-40 minutes stirring a couple times to prevent burning. (I roast for 15 minutes, stir, 15 minutes, stir, 10 minutes.)
- Remove from oven and cool completely before serving. They'll be soft and tender when they come out of the oven, but harden as they cool.
Notes
- *Nuts: I use 2/3 cup each of walnuts, pecans, and almonds. (My favorites are walnuts and pecans, so sometimes I leave out the almonds.) But use any combination of walnuts, pecans, almonds, cashews, peanuts, etc.
- Storing: Allow the nuts to cool completely, then store in an airtight container at room temperature for about 1-2 weeks.
