Tandoori grilled chicken wings

Marinated in Tandoori spices and yogurt before grilled until golden, these juicy grilled chicken wings are going to be a guaranteed crowd favorite.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg (2lb) chicken wings Split into drumettes and flats
  • 1 cup PLAIN yogurt
  • 3 garlic cloves crushed
  • 2 tsp crushed ginger
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp garam masala
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground cardamom
  • ½ tsp chilli powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • Fresh lime wedges For serving
  • fresh cilantro/coriander for serving

Instructions

  1. Combine all the marinade ingredients together and add the chicken wings.
  2. Allow to marinade for at least 30 minutes up to 24 hours covered in the fridge.
  3. Preheat the grill for 15 minutes. I like to have a cooler zone to move the wings to if they caramelize too quickly.
  4. Place the chicken wings on the grill and cook for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and caramelized all over.
  5. Remove from the grill and allow to rest for at least 5 minutes.
  6. Serve with lime wedges and fresh cilantro/coriander.
