Ingredients

  • 2 ounces blanco (silver) tequila
  • 1 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
  • ½ ounce agave nectar amber or light
  • lime twist or wheel for garnish

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Combine all of the ingredients in a cocktail shaker packed with ice and shake for about 10 to 20 seconds to chill.
  2. Double strain into a chilled coupe and garnish with your lime twist or wheel. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Tasters preferred amber agave over light agave in this tequila gimlet for its slightly bolder flavor. Feel free to substitute a 1 to 1 demerara simple syrup or other simple syrup if you do not have agave nectar..
  • Double straining removes all of the citrus pulp and ice shards from your cocktail.
  • You can also serve a tequila gimlet in a rocks glass over ice.
