Ingredients

  • 3 pounds chicken wings tips removed and split at the joint
  • 1 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons dry mustard
  • 1 tablespoon ground ginger or fresh grated gingerroot
  • 3 garlic cloves minced

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Arrange the chicken wings in a large, shallow baking pan in a single layer.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine soy sauce, water, brown sugar, dry mustard, ginger, and garlic. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then remove from heat.
  3. Pour the marinade over the chicken wings, ensuring they are well coated. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour and 30 minutes, turning the wings halfway through the cooking time.
  4. After baking, transfer the wings to a broiler pan. Broil the wings, turning occasionally, until they are crispy and browned. This should take a few minutes. Devour!
