Teriyaki Grilled Prawns 海老の照り焼き

Ingredients

  • 500 g prawn or shrimp
  • 1/3 cup teriyaki sauce basic
  • 1/2 tbsp garlic crushed
  • 1/2 tbsp ginger grated
  • shallot for garnish
  • lime for garnish

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Wash and prepare the prawns/shrimp.
  2. Put the teriyaki sauce, garlic, and ginger in a ziplock bag.
  3. Add the prawns/shrimp and coat the sauce well, zip it and leave it in the fridge for 20 minutes to marinate.
  4. Heat some olive oil in a skillet over high heat then once heated, add the marinated prawns and grill until browned.
  5. Remove the prawns from the frying pan, and add the sauce from the ziplock bag of marinade.
  6. Cook for a few minutes until the sauce is reduced a bit then turn off heat.
  7. Serve the prawns over some rice and pour the teriyaki sauce on top.
