Tex-Mex Appetizer Tart

Ingredients

  • 1 10 to 11-inch pie crust
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded Colby jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup roasted red peppers chopped
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 (4 oz) can diced green chiles
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon chile powder
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375ºF. 
  2. Lay the pie crust on an ungreased baking sheet.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the cheese, red peppers, mayonnaise, green chiles cumin, and chile powder. Spread the mixture over the pie crust, leaving a 1-inch border. Fold the edges of the pie crust up over the filling, forming a crust.
  4. Bake until the crust is golden brown, about 25 minutes. Remove from the oven and top with the cilantro. 
  5. Let the tart sit for 10 minutes before cutting into wedges.
