Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked pie crust homemade or store bought
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 3/4 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup Chopped pecans or walnuts
  • vanilla ice cream for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325F. Line a pie plate with the unbaked pie crust, crimping the edges. Set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and both sugars until fluffy.
  3. Add in the eggs and beat for 2 minutes.
  4. Mix in the flour until combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts.
  6. Transfer the batter into the prepared pie crust.
  7. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the pie comes out clean.
  8. Cool on wire rack for about 30 minutes.
  9. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
