Ingredients

  • 1 7 lb. bone-in turkey breast giblets removed
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 tbsp Italian herbs blend
  • 1 tsp pink sea salt
  • 1 tsp Fresh cracked pepper
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • Optional Aromatics:
  • 1 medium onion chopped into large slices
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 2 sprigs thyme
  • 1 orange or lemon sliced thin

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degress.
  2. Pat turkey dry with paper towels.
  3. Generously rub turkey breast with softened butter - rub butter all around turkey, and carefully lift up skin to rub butter under turkey skin, too.
  4. Stuff turkey breast cavity with aromatics.
  5. Add chicken stock to the bottom of roasting pan.
  6. Coat turkey breast with herbs and spices.
  7. Place turkey on metal rack in roasting pan or over a baking sheet.
  8. Tent turkey loosely with foil for first 30 minutes of roasting time.
  9. Roast in the preheated oven for 1 hour; baste turkey breast with remaining butter mixture occasionally.
  10. Roast around 1-1 1/2 hours, until the juices run clear and an instant-read meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the breast, not touching bone, reads 165 degrees.
  11. Tent with foil for at least 10 minutes before carving.
  12. Enjoy!
