Ingredients

  • 1 cup beer
  • one 400-500 millilitres bottle ribs sauce
  • 1 tablespoon onion soup mix
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar 1-2 TBSP more to add to the sauce later
  • 3-4 pounds pork roast butt or shoulder are the best

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Combine all of the ingredients completely.
  2. Place the pork roast in a crockpot; pour the ingredients over the top.
  3. Cook on low for 8-9 hours.
  4. When the pork pulls apart, remove 1-2 cups of the sauce from the crockpot and place into a saucepan.
  5. Simmer on the stove for 5-10 minutes to reduce it slightly. You can now customize the sweetness to your liking by adding more brown sugar!
  6. While this is simmering, take out the roast and shred with two forks. Place in a large bowl. Pour the sauce over the top and mix in. Here is where you can customize the taste to your liking, add more or less sauce.
  7. Serve on fresh Portuguese buns (these are the best for pulled pork sammies!)
