The BEST Skillet Lasagna

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/2 pound ground sausage
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 Tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 8 ounce lasagna noodles* broken
  • 3-4 cups homemade marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup parmesan
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • Fresh chopped basil for garnish

  1. In a large skillet add the ground beef and sausage over medium-high heat. Cook and crumble until almost cooked. Add in the diced onion, garlic, Italian seasoning salt, and pepper, and continue to cook until the meat is no longer pink and the onion starts to soften.
  2. Add in the broken lasagna noodles with the marinara sauce. Bring to a boil and then cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the noodles are tender. Drop the ricotta cheese on top and top with parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese.
  3. Once the cheese has melted top with fresh chopped basil and serve.
