Thermomix Buttercream
Buttercream icing doesn’t get any better than Thermomix buttercream. Featuring four simple everyday ingredients, let the Thermomix work its magic and produce the best ever butter icing you have ever tried.

Ingredients
- 250 g unsalted butter
- 500 g icing sugar
- 2 Tbsp semi skimmed milk
- 2 Tsp vanilla essence

- Thermomix TM6
Instructions
- Click on the weighing scales on the Thermomix and weigh the butter and chop it as you add it to the Thermomix. Add the lid and then set it manually to speed 3 for 5 minutes.
- Halfway through the butter time, pause, remove the lid, and scrape down the sides.
- Add your icing sugar, sieving it as you add it. Then mix it speed 3 for a further 3 minutes.
- Then add in vanilla essence and milk and do a final 3 minutes on speed 3.

Notes
- Swaps. You can use any of your favourite essences in this recipe to make this buttercream recipe fit in with what you are icing. Such as swapping the vanilla for peppermint, lemon extract etc.
- Patience. I know you want your buttercream all done and dusted in 3 minutes and no 11 minutes. But patience in this recipe and a slow mix results in the best buttercream you have ever tried.
