Thomas’ Faux-prese
Think caprese but without the cheese! This is my husbands spin on the classic summer dish when he's being super healthy but still wants those flavor tomatoes + avocado!
Ingredients
- 2 avocado pitted and cut into wedges, ripe
- 3 tomato cut into wedges, heirloom
- 1 pint cherry tomatoes halved, heirloom variety
- basil leaves
- maldon salt freshly cracked; to taste
- black pepper freshly cracked; to taste
For the dressing
- 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- ¼ cup olive oil
- maldon salt freshly cracked; to taste
- black pepper freshly cracked; to taste
Instructions
- Combine the ingredients for the salad on a large serving platter.
- Whisk the ingredients for the vinaigrette together. Drizzle over the top and serve

- Use your favorite vinaigrette recipe to change things up!
