Thomas’ Faux-prese

Think caprese but without the cheese! This is my husbands spin on the classic summer dish when he's being super healthy but still wants those flavor tomatoes + avocado!

Ingredients

  • 2 avocado pitted and cut into wedges, ripe
  • 3 tomato cut into wedges, heirloom
  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes halved, heirloom variety
  • basil leaves
  • maldon salt freshly cracked; to taste
  • black pepper freshly cracked; to taste
For the dressing
  • 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • maldon salt freshly cracked; to taste
  • black pepper freshly cracked; to taste

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Combine the ingredients for the salad on a large serving platter.
  2. Whisk the ingredients for the vinaigrette together. Drizzle over the top and serve

Notes

  • Use your favorite vinaigrette recipe to change things up!
