Ingredients
- 2 standard 750ml bottles red wine*
- 1 cup brandy or applejack
- 1 cup orange juice
- half an orange sliced thin
- 4 cardamom pods
- 2 sticks of cinnamon
- 4 star anise
- 6 whole cloves
- ½ cup cranberries optional
Instructions
- In a large pot, combine all ingredients and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce heat immediately after boiling to low and let simmer slowly as you serve the wine.
- Enjoy!

- *use a good quality dry wine
- I use orange juice in place of sugar in this recipe - you can alternatively swap it for 1/2 cup - 1 cup of granulated sugar if desired.
