Ingredients

  • 10 ounces tuna 2 5-ounce cans, drained, chunk style
  • ¼ cup red onion finely minced
  • ¼ cup celery diced
  • ⅓ cup walnuts chopped
  • lemon juice of half
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 egg peeled and chopped, hard-boiled
  • salt to taste, sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper fresh-ground
  • bibb lettuce OR Boston or Romaine lettuce leaves, leaves
  • tomato optional, sliced
  • avocado optional, sliced

Instructions

  1. Combine tuna, onion, celery, walnuts, lemon juice, mayonnaise, hard-boiled eggs, sea salt, and pepper in a bowl and stir well to combine.
  2. Spoon mixture into lettuce leaves, and top with sliced tomatoes and avocados if using. Serve immediately.
