Turkey Chilli

Ingredients
- 500 g turkey Lean Minced
- 1 onion Finely Chopped
- 2 cloves garlic Minced
- 1 red bell pepper Diced
- 1 yellow bell pepper Diced
- 1 green bell pepper Diced
- 400 g tomato Chopped, Canned
- 400 g Kidney Beans Canned
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 2 tsp cumin Ground
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp oregano Dried
- salt
- black pepper
- Coriander leaves Preferable, fresh, for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and minced garlic, and sauté until they become translucent.
- Add the minced turkey to the pan and cook, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, until it's browned and cooked through.
- Stir in the diced bell peppers and continue to cook for a few minutes until they start to soften.
- Add the ground cumin, paprika, chili powder, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to coat the meat and vegetables with the spices.
- Pour in the canned chopped tomatoes and kidney beans. Stir to combine all the ingredients.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and let the chilli simmer for about 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens and the flavours meld together.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
- Serve the turkey chilli hot, garnished with fresh coriander leaves if desired.
