Turkey Fajita Pizza
All the flavors of fajitas in pizza form, this Turkey Fajita Pizza is a great way to use turkey leftovers. Leftover chicken could also be substituted.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup turkey sliced or shredded, cooked
- 1 red bell pepper sliced, medium
- 1 cup onion sliced
- 1 1/2 teaspoons fajita seasoning
- 1 lb pizza dough
- 1/2 cup salsa prepared
- 8 oz Monterey jack cheese shredded
- 2 avocado sliced
- cilantro chopped
- lime optional, slices
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 475ºF. (If using a pizza stone, place the stone in the oven before preheating and allow the oven to preheat for at least 30 minutes).
- In a bowl, combine the turkey, bell pepper, onion and fajita seasoning. Mix until combined.
- Roll or stretch the pizza dough to a large round.
- Spread the salsa on top of the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border.
- Add the turkey mixture and spread evenly.
- Top with the cheese.
- Transfer the pizza to the oven and bake until the edges are browned and the cheese is melted, about 10-12 minutes.
- Remove the pizza from the oven and top with sliced avocados. Sprinkle with cilantro. If desired, squeeze lime juice over the pizza.
- Cut into slices and serve.
