Ingredients
- 500 grams milk 2 cups plus 1 1/2 tablespoons
- 50 grams granulated sugar 1/4 cup
- 90 grams yolk From 5 large eggs
- 1 gram vanilla bean seeds split from one pod in half and scraped
Instructions
- On medium heat, add the milk, sugar, and vanilla pod in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
- In another bowl, beat the egg yolks with a whisk then incorporate them with the milk mixture stirring constantly.
- Increase the heat to medium-high and cook until the cream thickens.
- Pour the custard into ramekins and allow to cool at room temperature for 15 minutes then place into the refrigrator for at least one hour.
