Ingredients
- 1 (1-pound or 500 grams) carton of fresh strawberries
- 1 ½ cups of semi-sweet (non-dairy) chocolate chips
Instructions
- Wash and pat dry the strawberries.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, microwave the vegan chocolate chips in 30-second increments until thoroughly melted. Each time, stir well enough so the bottom doesn't burn.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Dip strawberries in melted vegan chocolate and place on parchment paper to cool.
- Refrigerate for 15 to 20 minutes.
Cup of Yum
Notes
- Use fresh strawberries: Ensure they’re room temperature and thoroughly dry (otherwise the vegan chocolate may seize) for the best results.
- For a crisp, smooth, snappy coating: Temper the plant-based chocolate.
- To avoid condensation: Only chill the strawberries until set (15-20 minutes).
