Ingredients

  • 1 (1-pound or 500 grams) carton of fresh strawberries
  • 1 ½ cups of semi-sweet (non-dairy) chocolate chips

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Wash and pat dry the strawberries.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, microwave the vegan chocolate chips in 30-second increments until thoroughly melted. Each time, stir well enough so the bottom doesn't burn.
  3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Dip strawberries in melted vegan chocolate and place on parchment paper to cool.
  5. Refrigerate for 15 to 20 minutes.

Notes

  • Use fresh strawberries: Ensure they’re room temperature and thoroughly dry (otherwise the vegan chocolate may seize) for the best results.
  • For a crisp, smooth, snappy coating: Temper the plant-based chocolate.
  • To avoid condensation: Only chill the strawberries until set (15-20 minutes).
