Ingredients

  • 1 cup vegan mayonnaise or dairy-free yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 cup dill pickles finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons shallots minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine vegan mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, chopped dill pickles, chopped fresh dill, minced shallots, lemon juice, garlic powder, sea salt, and black pepper.
  2. Stir the mixture well and adjust the seasoning with additional salt, pepper, or lemon juice according to taste.
  3. Refrigerate the tartar sauce for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together before serving.
