Ingredients
- 1 lb venison ground
- 2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground venison with the Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder.
- Divide the meat mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties, ensuring they are even in thickness.
- Preheat your grill (or frying pan) to medium-high heat and cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Once cooked, if desired, add a slice of cheese on top of burger patty and allow to cook for 2-3 minutes, until melted.
- Allow the patties to rest for a 5 minutes after grilling, then serve them with your favorite toppings and sides.
Notes
- To prevent the venison burgers from sticking to the grill (or pan), make sure to preheat the grill thoroughly and lightly oil the grates before cooking. This will create a non-stick surface and ensure that your burgers cook evenly without tearing or sticking.
- For perfectly cooked venison burgers, aim for an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C). Use a meat thermometer to check the temperature in the center of the patties to ensure they are safe to eat and retain their juicy texture.
