Walking Tacos (Tacos In A Bag!)
Walking tacos are delicious tacos in a bag you make for a delicious dinner perfect for a group, party, camping trip or tailgating. This dinner has a really easy clean up, as you eat right from the bag, and everyone can pick their favorite taco toppings.

Ingredients
For The Taco Meat
- 1 pound ground beef
- ½ cup onion diced
- 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
- 15 ounces black beans one can, about 1 1/2 cups cooked beans
- 1 cup salsa
- 21 ounces corn chips we used 6 3.5 ounce bags, see notes
For The Toppings (all toppings are optional to your own taste)
- 1 cup mexican-blend cheese shredded
- 1 cup lettuce shredded or chopped
- ½ cup sour cream
- ½ cup salsa
- 3 tablespoons green onions sliced
Instructions
To Make The Taco Meat
- Place the ground beef and onion in a skillet on medium heat. Brown the meat for 5-7 minutes or until the meat is fully cooked. Drain any excess liquid from the meat.
- Add in the taco seasoning, black beans, and 1 cup of salsa to the ground beef. Heat for 2-3 minutes or until warm all the way through then place in a serving bowl.

Assembling Walking Tacos With Toppings
- Open the bags of chips. To each bag add about 1/4 cup of the warm meat mixture.
- In each bag of chips top the meat mixture with shredded cheese, lettuce, sour cream, extra salsa, and green onions or other toppings as desired. Eat out of the bag with a fork and enjoy!
Notes
- To make a dinner size you can use 6 of the 3.5 ounce bags of Frito chips and divide the meat mixture evenly between.
- For a snack party size version try 1 ounce snack size bags of fritos chips, which the meat mixture will fill 12 of the 1 ounce snack size bags.
