Walnut Cherry Slice Bars

Delicious walnut cherry slice bars, perfect for the holidays!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 tablespoons icing sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 eggs well beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup medium coconut
  • 3/4 cup to 1 candied cherries cut in half
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Combine butter, icing sugar and flour.
  2. Press into greased 9 X 9 pan.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
  4. Remove from oven.
  5. Turn oven down to 325 degrees.
  6. Mix all other ingredients together and pour over baked cookie base.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes.
  8. Let cool well in pan before slicing
