Ingredients

  • 1 gallon homemade apple cider or storebought
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 cup cranberry juice
  • 1 cup pomegranate juice
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • dark brown sugar to taste, optional
Optional Garnishes:
  • rosemary sprigs
  • sugared cranberries on picks

Instructions

Stovetop Method:

  1. Add cider, cinnamon sticks, and juices to a Dutch oven set over low heat. Simmer for 30 minutes, remove cinnamon sticks and add sugar to taste.
  2. Serve warm with optional garnish.
Slow Cooker Method:
  1. Add cider, cinnamon sticks, and juices to a slow cooker set at low heat for at least an hour, remove cinnamon sticks and add sugar to taste.
  2. Serve warm with optional garnish.
Coffee Urn Method:
  1. Add cider, cinnamon sticks, and juices to an urn until warmed throughout. Add sugar to taste and remove cinnamon sticks before dispensing.
  2. Serve warm with optional garnish.

Notes

  • Recipe makes 1 gallon.
  • To store: Allow the cider to cool, then pour it into an airtight drink container or glass jars. Store in the refrigerator for up to a week.
  • To serve: Serve cold over ice or pour into a mug and reheat in the microwave. For larger servings, follow the instructions for making the warm cider to reheat and serve.
