Watermelon Margarita
This Watermelon Margarita blends fresh watermelon juice with sweetened lime juice, tequila, and triple sec, resulting in a vibrant and refreshing cocktail. Ingredients
- 1/2 cup watermelon juice
- 1/4 cup lime juice sweetened
- 2 ounces tequila
- 1 ounce triple sec
Instructions
- Cut the flesh of a seedless watermelon into chunks. (get a 4 pounder)
- In a blender put 1 cup of the chunks and liquefy. Run a wedge of lime around the rim of a glass and dip in salt or sugar.
- For each serving fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add; watermelon juice, lime juice, tequila and triple sec
- Shake vigorously in a martini shaker and pour into prepared glass.Garnish with lime.
Notes
- To make a frozen watermelon margarita, freeze watermelon chunks ahead and blend with the other ingredients and ice.
- You can purchase sweetened lime juice or prepare it at home by heating water and sugar until dissolved, then mixing with fresh lime juice and cooling.
- Run a lime wedge around the rim of the glass and dip it in salt or sugar to enhance the cocktail presentation and flavor.
